At the April 16, 2022 Tribal Business Council At-Large District Chief William Hoff made a motion to endorse and partner with the Texas Tribal Buffalo Project (TTBP), to support their efforts in offering Buffalo meat to Texas Tribes at fair market value. Chief Hoff had been in contact with Lucille Contreras the CEO and Founder of the Texas Tribal Buffalo Project and member of the Texas Lipan Apache Tribe prior to the April Tribal Business Council. The Tsalagiyi Nvdagi Tribal Council voted to donate $250.00 to TTBP and the money was used to help fund Youth Camp 2022 where TTBP educated children on Tribal Food Sovereignty and the importance of our brother Yanasv Buffalo.
MS. Contreras plans to bring Texas grown Buffalo meat to the Tsalagiyi Nvdagi Annual Gathering in October 2022 where it will be prepared and cooked to bless all in attendance.
