Culture Camp:

We will be having Culture Camp October 18th and 19th with teachings and traditions and Annual Gathering will be held October 20th and 21st with ceremonies, feasts and Council Meetings.

09/22/23 UPDATE:
Due to scheduling issues October 18th will be a day of setting up camp and meet and greets. I will be leaving New Mexico the morning of the 18th and won’t arrive in Rusk until late that evening. We will have a full day of culture Camp on Thursday 10/19/2023 and some teachings Friday 10/20/2023.

Accommodations:

If you plan to tent Camp we are asking for a donation of $13.50 per night or $54.00 for all 4 nights per tent. If you plan to bring in an RV we ask for a donation of $27.00 per night or $108.00 for all 4 nights. Water, electric and dump sites included.

If you plan to stay at an area hotel and not camp out there is a $5.00 day use fee per vehicle to enter the park.

Due to our Tribal Land issues the Council has decided to pay for all 11 campsite areas for the 4 days so if you are unable to give a donation for camping please see Deputy Chief Jennifer Forest upon arrival.

Campground amenities include:

Picnic tables, grills, fire rings, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi Hotspot, separate restrooms and showers, water playground and a quarter mile nature trail.

The Campground Office offers various sundries, firewood, and ice for purchase.

Bring your fishing poles and try your luck at the 15 acre Cherokee Lake (no license needed), stocked with catfish, crappies, bass and walleyes.
