I was in a uniform for 44 years. In the Marine Corps for four years and then the Army for 21 years.

An ROTC Instructor for 23 years. Robert E Lee Institute …Thomaston, Ga. 3 Years. Institute is no longer in existence. Cocoa High school, Cocoa, Florida…J.R.O.T.C. 20 years.

I enjoyed most of them.

I spent 16 years as an Infantry man, because I liked it. I spent one year in Vietnam as a combat operation and intelligence job. I got all the dirty work, Ambushes, Info getting, night recon. Etc. I would have not changed anything, White men cannot move at night without sounding like a train. I was in charge of the group and raised holy hell upon them, lots of extra training.
