We are reaching out with a heartfelt and long-term vision to secure support for two critical and deeply meaningful initiatives for the Tsalagiyi Nvdagi Tribe — a State-recognized American Indian Tribal community with deep historic roots in Texas.
- Establishing a Permanent Homeland and Administrative Center
Our foremost goal is to acquire land to serve as a permanent homeland and central administrative base for the Tsalagiyi Nvdagi Tribe. Despite a longstanding historical presence in Texas, the Tribe has endured generations of displacement, marginalization, and denial of identity. Today, descendants remain across Texas and the broader United States, holding tightly to the vision of a unified, sovereign land where community, culture, and leadership can thrive.
We seek adequate acreage that will provide:
A residential sanctuary for tribal citizens, elders, and veterans
A base for tribal governance and cultural preservation
A site of belonging and continuity for future generations
The Tsalagiyi Nvdagi Tribe has a registered 501C3 Non-profit organization. In addition to cultural preservation, the Tribe has consistently contributed to broader humanitarian efforts, offering support to disaster relief initiatives, victims of gun violence, and families living in extreme poverty on reservations across the U.S., especially during the harsh winter months.
2. Preserving the Battle of the Neches Second Battlefield Site
Our secondary but equally vital mission is to raise funds for the protection and preservation of the historic Battle of the Neches Second Battlefield Site, located in Van Zandt County, Texas. This sacred land is the final resting place of women, children, warriors, and Principal Chief John Bowles, leader of the Tsalagiyi Nvdagi during the turbulent era of the Texas Republic in the 1830s.
This site, a powerful symbol of resistance and sacrifice, is in urgent need of:
Ongoing environmental protection
Restoration and maintenance efforts
Designation as a protected historical and cultural heritage site
Currently, the land remains vulnerable to weather, erosion, and neglect, with no formal resources dedicated to its upkeep.

We hope that through this campaign, compassionate individuals and supporters of Indigenous rights and cultural preservation will join us in these essential efforts. Your contribution will directly support land acquisition, site protection, and long-term sustainability for the Tsalagiyi Nvdagi Tribe and its future.
Wado’ Equa — Thank you very much for your kindness and support.
